Less Stuff, More Time (5 comments)

I want to have less stuff.

I don't know where the stuff comes from but my house is full of it.

And it is mostly stuff we don't need!

By US standards we really have little stuff. We try not to acquire too much. But by world standards, we have way WAY too much. We are definitely taking more than we need.

So, we are cleaning up and organizing here at Buchelas' house.

2009 = less stuff!

And when we do, I hope we would stop by this place.

Only in Asia!

Comic Relief (2 comments)

I found the following two videos from the Jimmy Kimmel late night show very funny.

Apparently both have been watched by millions of people.

Being in China and out of the loop, I never saw or heard about either one until the other day.

Anyway, here they are for those of you who are not with it and might have missed them.

Watch the first video first since the second is in response to it.

By the way Sarah Silverman, the woman in the first video is Jimmy's girlfriend.

Also, I will have you know, the song in the first video is stuck in my head. Since Buchela is too young to call me on it, I can sing it out loud!

BEWARE, the videos contain the F word A LOT.

Oh the Delegates! (15 comments)

What is up with the whole "delegate" stuff in the primary election process of both parties?

I don't understand why voting in the US is OH SO VERY complicated.

I mean, as far as I am concerned, it would have been much easier if everyone's vote counted from every state to determine the winner.

So for example, if a total of 7 million people vote, then we count those votes to see who got the most and and declare that person a winner.

Why with all the complex delegate business?

One person, one vote. Period!

ACKKK!

Cosmopoltian (6 comments)

I have been watching HBO's Sex and the City these days. I borrowed the entire show (six seasons) from a friend.

For those of you who are rolling your eyes and saying "That is so ten years ago!", that is how we are in this household.

Late.

Late and clueless about cool TV shows and hip trends. Besides, we are on the Ethiopian Calender, so it is just year 2000 within our apartment walls thank you!

Back to Sex and the City, I thought it was one of the best written comedies I have seen in a long time. I really enjoyed watching all the sex and gossip. May be too much for some people but perfect for my pregnant self!

Now, I am craving a Cosmopolitan. Since I can not drink, I am passing the glass to you.

Here is the recipe (from www.drinksmixer.com).

1 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz Rose's® lime juice
1/2 oz cranberry juice
Shake vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim, and serve.

Cheers!

I know pregnancy sometimes makes me more emotional and therefore prone to tears.

But y'all, I cried when I listened to Obama's Iowa speech today.

It nudged awake the idealist in me.

Beautiful!

Was it me or was his speech just that good?
