Toddler Cooking: Buchela Demonstrates



Buchela loves to cook.

Sometimes, he and I pretend cook together. Other times, he play cooks while I make real meals.

I actually let him help toss salads and make dressing.

To encourage his little hobby, first I bought him his own pot and a pot stand he can pretend is a stove.

I also bought him toy fruits and vegetables he can stir to his heart's content.

He also has a pretend knife.

Taking Care of Triplets: Buchela Demonstrates

Buchela has babies.

Just like his mama.

I made a little sling for him and he has since began carrying around his babies when the fancy strikes him.

He has three.

Washing Cars

Buchela is a compulsive cleaner.

I just know this is not going to last into the teen years.

So, I am enjoying it while I can.

Here, he gives his car a good scrub.

Toddler Finger Painting



The idea of putting a toddler and paint together at home is a scary scary thought.

But I went ahead and tried it.

Mind you, my home isn't really fancy. I don't have expensive stuff. I had the landlord cover the couch with a stain resistant fabric that can be washed easily.

Best of all, our dinning table is well treated with some sort of varnish that makes it easy to clean.

BUT still, I was scared to unleash Buchela's inner artist!

Nowadays, he makes working in the kitchen close to impossible unless I ensure his time is occupied with something similar to what I am doing.

Child Labor in Our Home: Buchela Demonstrates

Buchela loves washing his bibs.

I love that he loves washing his bibs.

It means no pent up toddler energy, ready to explode into a tantrum, during cold winter days when playing outside is out of the question.

It means an occupied Buchela when Mama needs time for herself.

It means a tired little guy at the end of the day.

It means a good night sleep for everybody.
