Eating in Ubud, Bali

After dinning once in a nice restaurant and feeling stressed, we have decided to go completely local.

We now try to find tiny little restaurants, preferably empty or with laid-back looking customers who aren't going to give me the stink eye because my kids are ... well ... being kids!

Dinbit isn't the kind of child who enjoys sitting on a fancy chair for a meal.

No sir!

The floor will do.

No nice ceramic plates either --- she may break it

A restaurant that is too fancy to put bones in its curry?

Nope. That won't do either.

My child loves her some bones.

A happy and full Dinbit = a relaxed Mama.

So there you have it.

We now choose restaurants on the basis of floor seating availability and bones.

Herb's Gravatar Try the Fly Café in Lungsiakan Ubud. It's kid friendly, and there are lots of bones to chew on with the world's best BBQ Ribs, just one of the yummy dishes from the extensive menu of local, international, and vegetarian cuisine. Fly Café is probably the best value restaurant in Ubud Bali.
