Hoya Hoye: Playing with Fire
Growing up in Ethiopia, I always loved taking part in the "Chibo" ceremony during holidays.
But Buhe, where boys get together and go house to house singing for treats and Enkutatash where the girls got to do the same --- these two holidays were by far my favorites.
So, I was happy my children were able to take part of this year's Buhe festivities.
Buchela actually sang along with his cousins!
And they both loved the fire.
Especially because they got to hold the chibos (stick bunches) as they burned away.
Even if I am not that much intrested about my culture or others, but i love your blogging.
