Toddler Cooking: Buchela Demonstrates

Buchela loves to cook.

Sometimes, he and I pretend cook together. Other times, he play cooks while I make real meals.

I actually let him help toss salads and make dressing.

To encourage his little hobby, first I bought him his own pot and a pot stand he can pretend is a stove.

I also bought him toy fruits and vegetables he can stir to his heart's content.

He also has a pretend knife.

Sometimes, he gets a hold of a real vegetable like an egg plant and tries to chop it up with his dull knife or a stick.





And when that doesn't work, he gets really frustrated!

Recently, I decided to set a kitchen up for him at the corner of our living room.



Complete with a little cupboard, spoons and forks, and a wash basin.





We sometimes cook together in his kitchen.

And we have great fun!
