Happy Olympics!

Happy Olympics to the incrediable nation of China!

There has been many many times I looked around and thought "I can't believe I am in China!"

This is a country like no other.

I wish I could also be at the opening ceremony!

If you get a chance, watch it. I think it is going to be amazing.

We are expecting fireworks here in Dalian.

Arefe's Gravatar I just came out of watching it on ETV.A stunning and spectacular performance!
The Chinese should be proud it and their unprecedented achievements in al areas. It is remarkable accomplishment for a country that has gone through famine and all the pain that we are gong through now. I am sure there is a hope for us, too.

Yemi's Gravatar Arefe, It was an incredible show. Loved it.

Mamitu, lol. Don't think we didn't try! We really did but the tickets were by lottery and we didn't win them. We did get tickets for the running events but we decided to nix it in light of Dinbit's arrival.

Addis, I know... it is really sad what is happening in Darfur and elsewhere in the continent. I am hoping our day in the sun comes... but I am doubtful it will be during my life time.

Mesay's Gravatar The opening ceremony was spectacular except for the
lip-syncing debacle with that 9 year old. Another one for
the lip-syncing all of shame next to Millie-Vanillie.

P.S. Hope Branna is doing better.
