Taking Care of His Bear
While I take care of Dinbit, Buchela takes care of his Bear.
He carries it around on his back.
He gives it lots of hugs.
And he doesn't shy away from changing its diaper.
Folks!
I think I am raising a good father and husband here!
His future wife better start saving for dowry right now because I ain't gonna be giving him up for free!

I can't get over how adorable and full of character your little Buchela is :-). He comes across as a sweet sweet little boy, growing sweeter every day, happily basking in the love you and his father lavish upon him. Dinbit is lucky to have such a wonderful big brother, and I already can imagine how he is going to be a kind, sensitive, and attentive brother to her. I don't even have a daughter myself, but I would not mind saving for a dowry for a daughter I might have some day :-). Growing up with all the love and strong foundation he receives, I am sure he will make an excellent husband and father/parent. After all, look at the role models God has placed in his life in the form of his parents. Happy mothering!!!
Gifti.
Bless your family!

For the amount of time I spend residing in the Internet/cyber space for leisure, work, and school related purposes, it will be a natural extension to consider having a blog of my own. I myself have thought about it often. Great bloggers like yourself blog frequently enough to engage their readers on a regular basis, and you even do it while working, mothering (beautifully I might add) two young children, and taking care of your family. I admire you for that actually, and I am not sure if I have that kind of tenacity. I am currently trying to unstuck myself from the last stages of grad school towards crossing the threshold to the working world. Most times, when things seriously go wrong (and they often do unfortunately), I think I become the poster child for the famous Amharic saying AyiT welda welda jiratwa siQerat siT alech. Funny title for a blog, dont you think? Just kidding. Cant wait to be unstuck though and maybe have more time on my hands to consider a blog. So stay tuned. But thank you for being one hell of a positive Ethiopian woman/mother blogger, and for sharing your life so openly rising above our sometimes secretive culture when it comes to personal experiences. I get weary of some of the cut and dry political related Ethiopian Internet postings, often void of personal experiences, as if our lives forever only revolve around various strife that have plagued our people over time. In the midst of that, however, there is a lot of positive daily life that is lived that we should also remember to celebrate and be grateful about. I think you do that beautifully, which is why I like your blog. God bless your family, and I look forward to reading more of your postings.
Gifti.
