Inmate 8011 at Dalian Hospital

On Monday evening, I began having regular contractions that came about every fifteen minutes. They kept me up the night on and off.

Around five the next morning, I woke Buchela's Daddy up and suggested we go to the hospital to check things out.

I didn't want to wait until I began bleeding or leaking amniotic fluid before I took action because at that point it may be too late.

I am only 32 and half weeks pregnant. Giving birth right now will be far from a good thing!

At the hospital, my doctor monitored my contractions and decided to put me on magnesium sulfate IV for ten (yes TEN) hours.

By the time the evening came, I was nauseous and dizzy from the side effects of the drug. But this didn't stop me from missing my Buchela. It was the first night I have ever spent away from him!

The drug really helped. By the next morning I was no longer having contractions and my unremitting back pain was completely gone.

During my stay, several residents kept coming in to check various irrelevant things and to ask me questions.

I humored them and let them, for example, measure my hip bones with some metal contraption that resembled scissors. I also answered most of their their questions.

But when we went to sleep at 10 p.m. I made sure Hubby locked the door.

Now, I am at home for the remainder of my pregnancy on Doctor ordered rest. Teaching is not really an easy job when one is pregnant!

The next two weeks, I am supposed to be on "bed rest". I am horrified by the prospect of not leaving the house for that long!

The hardest part is to try to avoid picking Buchela up. He is constantly asking to be picked up now days.

Also, I have to pick him up to put him down in his crib for his naps. Now, I just have to avoid unnecessary pick ups and be careful about the unavoidable ones.

Noooooooooo! Bed Rest!!!

Dear Baby, please stay in Mama's tummy until we tell you its time to come out!

hen's Gravatar Ayzon Yemi. It would be fine. Bed rest should be easy if you have some good movies and books to keep you company. am sure these are times when you miss not having mom around to take care of Buchie while you rest. Paul would oblige I am sure. Take care of yourself.
