Buchela's 2nd Birthday Party (Part 3) - The Cake
We got two cakes. One for Buchela with Happy Birthday written in Chinese because we forgot to request for it to be in English.
We also had another one for me with "Happy Baby Day" on it since, you know, I had a teensy weeny bit to do with our child coming into the world (like being sliced into half).
We cut the cake with after singing happy birthday in three languages.
All eyes on the cake.
After cutting the cake, I, of course, served the birthday boy first. He wasn't sure what do with it.
I tried to feed it to him but he refused. So, seeing that he didn't want it, I gave his piece away to the next person.
Boy, that was a mistake!
Even after I gave it back, there were still tears coming down his face.
He stayed mad for about a minute.
Then he cheered right up.
But tell you what, he spent the next twenty minutes watching his piece of cake so no one else laid hands on it.
He also sang "Happy birthday Buchela" to himself with his fingers in his ears.
I also got to cut my cake but with not as much fanfare.
Adults drank coffee, snacked, and socialized while keeping an eye on the kids.
Buchela, my little eccentric boy, never did eat his piece of cake.

God bless U all!
Buchi sure had a great birthday celebration&thanks for sharing&
wow! That yellow cake looks so festive&did it test good as it looked&what kind was it?

Happy B-day
Thanks for all your messages. Buchi is going to be happy when he grows up and sees all these birthday wishes from you guys:)
The Chinese make these great cakes with elaborate stuff on them. We really liked the way this one looked but wasn't sure how it was going to taste. It turned out it had a pineapple creme on top and it was good. The kids, of course except our little dude, all ate it with enthusiasm.
The brown spikes on the top and the half discs surrounding the cake are milk chocolate pieces. It was a fun cake:)
Julie, his hair IS growing out again. I am wondering if I should cut it... we will see.
