No Daddy? No Problem!

Buchela loves his daddy.

When his father comes home, he throws himself into his arms screaming "ababba!"

Hubby can hardly put his stuff down and change his clothes.

It is always a happy reunion.

This makes the days when his father is out of town a little hard for Buchela. He is now old enough to notice when his dad doesn't come home by a certain time.

Today, just as the time for Daddy to arrive home rolled around, he started to ask for him.

And I thought to myself, ooops, here we go!

Sure enough, when I told him he was at work and won't be coming home, he stomped off to the bedroom to pout. Or so I thought!

Next thing I know, he is trying to get me to help him put his Daddy's vest on.

I have you know, this is a kid who spends the better part of his afternoons in a totally or semi nude state. He never asks for clothes to be put on!!!

Anyway, I help him put the vest on and ta da... he was all smiles again. Totally cheered up.

Now I know what to do when Buchela mentions his daddy while he is out of town. Just replace him with his vest!

fikus's Gravatar Hi yemi:

Ever thought about writing a children's book? I think you would be great at it. And Lisan would be a great actor (or character) for you.
Those pictures are lovely. Lisan's smile is contagious. Hey, he made me laugh too! Keep up the good work. Cheers,

Yemi's Gravatar I wish there were good amharic books for kids that are buchela's age or younger. The ones available right now are for older kids! I have actually thought about the idea of writing a book so I can read it to my children! lol.
