4th century hang out: My Son, Vietnam
As far as I understand, My Son (the site, not Buchela:) was established in the 4th century.
It was kind of awe inspiring to be at a place that is so old and to know at some point it was the center of the universe... bustling with activity... for the people who lived around it.
Parts of the ruins were damaged by US bombs during the Vietnam War. Some of the shells are on display at the site's museum.
(I know you have no idea who I am but I have been visiting your blog for the last year...never really commented until now. My husband and daughter are Ethiopian. My husband loves seeing Buchela.)
