Hanoi On
When we finally decided to move on from Hanoi, we boarded on an over night train and headed to Danang.
I was pretty excited about this mode of travel although I was a bit worried about what a hard sleeper would do to my pregnant back. I was also not sure what kind of sleeper-mates we would get. There were six beds in our little space.
The hard beds were hard. By the time morning came, my back was screaming for some padding. Our roomies were chatty in the middle of the night. A few drunken young British boys kept on opening our sleeper door and stumbling into our space through out the night.
Had Buchela woken up in crying fit, I was gonna drop him off at their sleeper and make them baby-sit my screaming toddler until he fell asleep!
When morning finally came, it was wonderful to see the beautiful Vietnamese country side pass by.
Once in Danang, we took a minibus to Hoi An, a cute riverside town. Our plan for the rest of our vacation days is to eat, rest, and explore the beauty around this area of the country.
We will even go to the beach. But we will probably never get to use all the sun block we have packed.
Here are some pictures:

is the kind of person Buchela is going to grow into one day with him being exposed to a lot of different cultures when he is so young)
I showed the pics to my Vietnamese friend and he said what they are cooking is a dog's intestine. He tells me cats and dogs are delicacies over there. sile-maryam bilesh - don't be too adventurous in your diet.

It looks like you guys are having a great time! Buchie looks cute with the chopsticks in his hands.
Mamo, my man, we probably have had dog/cat meat without knowing it. We have not let that possiblity stop us from trying things even if we generally have no idea what they are.
Kay, yeah, we are having a good time here in Vietnam. Facinating country.
I love Vietnam! And you guys did enjoy your time there, looking at the pics.
