Buchela Pictured

My little Buchela has a celebrity problem without the money or the fringe benefits! Random people in the street, the grocery store, the mall, the coffee shop, the park... any public place really, take pictures of him.

Most of the time, people do it from afar. But sometimes, they come right up and start snapping away.

The thing is, his father and I have struggled with the issue and haven't come up with a good way to stop it. And by trying to stop it but failing, we were only working ourselves into a frenzy. Some people take pictures of the Buchela even if we object. Besides, waving our hands and yelling just invited more pairs of eyes on us. And we felt uncomfortable after such altercations. I really would rather not be pissy towards the people of the country that is hosting me.

So, instead of getting upset about it to no avail, I have started a blog series called "Buchela Pictured" where I will put up photos of people taking pictures of my son.

I hope our little dude enjoys the record when he is old enough to wonder about it.

Here is the first post.

At BingYu Valley, we stopped for a break. There was no secluded area to get away from the other revelers. So, it was no surprise a playing Buchela attracted a bit of a crowd. Most of the gawkers just stood around and watched him play but a couple of them took pictures.

So did I.

sari's Gravatar Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I think your little boy is so cute, but I can't imagine just walking up to someone and taking a picture of their child! I would freak out if it happened to me. Good solution though!

C's Gravatar That is ten kinds of odd. He is really cute though and perhaps it's the same kind of fascination they have with your hair.
