Talented Little People
Is it me or are kids these days more talented than we were at their age?
May be I have forgotten what all we used to be able to do. But the art works in the picture astonish me.
They were all done by 4th graders.
And not only did they paint the pictures but they also made the frames from construction paper.
I am impressed.
Are you?

Tell the truth!
I was about as talented as the most untalented person on earth in art. But, but, but in 6th grade I rocked at the long jump in track and field, does that qualify? Got me a blue ribbon or two ;)
HOWEVER
when I went to uni and one of the compulsory papers was art (I was doing my bachelor in early childhood education) the lecturer was GREAT
she said we are all artists
art work should come from the heart and there is no such thing as a bad artist
art is as individual as we are
People should always praise kids for their art work
I remember being told by an arty family friend
"Is that the best cat you can draw. Surely you can draw a cat better than that?"
Boy that hurt
I couldnt draw a cat better than that
and
really did her daughter whom I was drawing it for mind
I doubt it
Remember what my art lecturer said and let your shyness go and get creative people
Yemi, have you noticed in China the sun is colored red not yellow? (I just notice strange things, dont mind me)
Jen, I totally agree with what your uni professor said. I believe we can all bring a little bit of creativity into our lives.
