Thanksgiving Day in China
Turkey day was a regular working Thursday for us folks here in Dalian, China.
But we were invited to a church potluck dinner. We know the pastor's family really well and are good friends with them. So it was nice to get together.
When we arrived, we were amazed by how many people (over 50) and how much food there was. Lots of people brought something delicious. There wasn't enough space on the two Ping Pong tables for all the different dishes.
There was no turkey but there was duck. There was no gravy but there were mashed potatoes with curry sauce. And that was as close as we got to a traditional thanksgiving dinner!
Most of the food was Chinese or Thai... or in our case, penne pasta with broccoli meat sauce.
I didn't take many pictures because I was not feeling well. But I did capture Buchela's new fascination. He spent quiet a long time exploring the piano.

Happy Thanksgiving...If you are missing or in your case craving turkey, you should head to the swiss hotel, the shangrila or other fancy hotels downtown. They almost always have pretty much anything you could want for thanksgiving. By the way, I can't believe how much you are showing already.
We will have to chat again soon.
